The AFX Big Block Battlers Racing Set comes with 2 stock cars battling around 40 feet of track to be king of the track. The track includes two 5 foot long straights, flyovers, banked corners, hairpin turns etc. This is a lot of racing action and it only needs 7 by 4 feet of space when set up as per the instructions.

From my research the track is easy to assemble, is durable and won’t break when putting up or putting away.

AFX Big Block Battlers Slot Cars Description

The cars are finished to a high standard and are designed to take the rough and tumble of slot car racing. The cars include magnets that help to keep the cars on the track round the corners but as with any slot car game they will need to be slowed down to make it round the corners by easing off on the hand control.

AFX slot cars have thought about the frustration of coming off round the corners, especially when first getting started. To help with this they have introduced the Tri-power pack to help beginners. This has 3 settings – beginner, intermediate and expert.

At the beginner setting AFX claims that the car will stay on the track 90 -100% of time, intermediate 60 -70% and expert it is up to you. Getting used to slot car racing can take some time and can be frustrating; this new innovation will help you get through this period with more racing time.

The two cars are Mega G cars – the latest design from AFX. The scale of the cars and track is HO Scale which is 1/64 of actual size – the cars are about 2.5 inches long. A tune up kit is included to keep the cars running in their best condition.
